Sometimes we wonder what is the
purpose of life? what is it that we came to do in this world? We seek
happiness, self-fulfillment and serenity, but we are swallowed up by the
juggernaut of everyday life, each one in their various, more or less
significant, tasks,. There are those who determine their happiness through material
goals - a car, a house, or consumer goods. There are those who determine their
happiness through affective and social conditions – to marry, to have children,
etc. But the fact is that few people attain self-realization. Why?
One reason is due to the fact you
cannot identify what could truly bring this personal satisfaction. Another
reason is ignorance of the importance to feel useful to others, living instead
a self-centered life. There are some who do not feel they are evolving and
remain stagnant in the same evolutionary level for many years, they do not
extend their intelligence, do not improve their weaktraits, and do not develop
new skills and talents. In fact, there are several reasons that prevent us from
achieving self-realization. Elementary issues are the difficulty to identify
personal priorities, self-organize so to achieve the goals, and live
consistently with personal values and principles. Therefore, at this point it
is so important to develop a personal priorities manual. Each person can draft
their own manual. It should be based on personal values, which requires a good
deal of self-knowledge. This avoids the classic cases of those who, upon
reaching certain goal, after several years of work, realize that there was
little or no satisfaction, and sometimes this involved many sacrifices that
should have been avoided. So, the first step is to know yourself, identify
personal values, negative traits to overcome, positive traits to strengthen and
missing positive features to develop.
What are the guiding factors of a
personal priorities manual? What are the steps taken to build it? Everything
will depend on one’s personal values. However, the ideal is that it promotes
self-evolution, as proposed by the Conscientiology, which studies consciousness
in an integral and broad manner. In my own example, as a Conscientiology researcher,
I understand that we are here to improve our personal traits, to help each
other, and to reconcile with other people. This new Science considers that we
are all consciousnesses evolving over numerous serial lives coming from a multidimensional
origin (our extraphysical origin). From this perspective we are not only a
physical body. The most essential point, however, is the achievement of what we
have to do in this lifetime, to fulfill the Existential Program, also known as the
life purpose. It is the program drawn up before we were born in this present
life, reasons for our current existence. Moreover, it is important to optimize
our quality of life, which should not exclude intraphysical comfort, financial
stability, health, and other basic values of western intraphysical society.
Therefore, based on the importance of
self-evolution the following are suggested as guiding factors for a priorities
manual: (1) self-development; (2) personal values with Cosmoethical bases
(broad multidimensional ethics); (3) evolutionary goals for life, consistent
with the personal reality, along with an existential worldview and capacity to self-manage;
(4) holomaturity to establish conditions that bring personal satisfaction
(evolution, quality of life, work, leisure, affection, etc.); (5)
Interassistance (help each other, respect for people and the planet, social
life, assumed responsibilities, contributions to society, help other people,
preferably in order to help them also evolve); (6) fulfillment of the
Existential Program; and (7) attainment of a minimum level of personal
satisfaction, according to personal values, in addition to the biggest goal:
serenity.
The following exemplified steps are
suggested for the construction of an evolutionary personal priorities manual:
(1) self-research; (2) identification of personal values and principles; (3)
preparation of Personal Code of Cosmoethics (what determines your ethics in the
face of the Cosmos); (4) create a balanced life, perform an analysis of the
current existence in every area of life (all that you have received from life, what
have you given back, what is still pending); (5) identify the guidelines of the
existential program (what you came to do in this life); (6) set priorities and
goals in accordance with these guidelines, values and Personal Code of Cosmoethics;
(7) order the priorities; (8) prepare an Action Plan, defining the steps to
achieve the goals and deadlines; (9) define useful routines to optimize your existence
(physical and energetic activities, studies, etc.); (10) define the tools that
help to achieve the objectives (diaries, notebook, spreadsheets, lists, etc.).
Through an effective dedication to
theoretical and practical propositions interested people can use the numerous
resources Conscientiology offers to comply with their existential program. The mission
of undertaking self-evolution, building a Personal Priorities Manual, is up to
each of us.
Let me conclude these suggestions with
two reflections based on personal experience. First, the process of
prioritization and self-organization requires will, effort, dedication and
perseverance, but in return we receive satisfaction from attaining goals,
generating products and results, qualifying one’s own life, and other rewards from
a rich evolutionary harvest. Second, the value of the "way": the
evolution way is by itself exciting, and it brings satisfaction that goes
beyond the destination you intended to go, and this self-development is done
step by step, turn by turn in the evolutionary spiral.
We ask you, reader, in a self-assessment
using a scale of 1 to 5, in which
self-competence level are you located, according with the factors that orient
your existential program? What features and methods have you applied to
self-evolution? Are you already experiencing the Personal Priorities Manual?
